The ring. My ring.

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend" that's what I heard from Nicole Kidman from Moulin Rouge. According to UptoIdo.com, diamond is not just a gemstone made of carbon, the abundant twelfth element in periodic table. No, for various reasons beyond the scope of this article, the diamond engagement ring has evolved in less than 100 or so years to represent many deeply important things. And, these are;

  • The magnitude and purity of your love
  • The emotional investment you want to make in your relationship
  • The rare and precious beauty of your bride to be
  • The eternal bond you want to form
  • Your worth and ability to provide as a husband

Is it really that important? according to some girls too.

hmmm...

I wanted an engagement ring. It wasn't important what stone, basta meron. I wanted a ring with a small stone that I can wear anytime. But when my h2b proposed to me, I was speechless. It wasn't what I expected. Still, size not matter... what I loved about the ring, my ring is a heirloom, from his ah-ma to his mom... and now to me. For me that is a great value.

a diamond, before becoming to its present form has undergone a very long and intense heating under the earth. it takes years, decades and even scores to form. and why a diamond for you on our engagement... its because, i wanted it to be the same way how we would reach what a diamond had reached. and that is what we call "life". . . a gift to share and to enjoy... until we grow old.
